Publishing Party!

Thank you parents for coming and celebrating your little author's small moments!  We enjoyed creating and sharing our stories on Book Creator and loved the special time with you :)

Living Things Materials Exploration

IDS donned our junior scientist's caps and set to work exploring materials for our new unit, Living Things.  Seed dissection, crumbly soil, dried and soaked beans, plants and a new class pet fish were the objects of our close scrutiny as we used all of our senses to describe and record what we observed.  It was fun, it was messy and above all, informative as only first hand, hands on experiences can be!

IDS had an incredible surprise visitor today.  Astronaut Dr. Steven Swanson stopped by to say hello and answered a steady slew of questions from our group of curious and excited minds.  Wow!
